The BNP has expelled two of its leaders and a senior official of its volunteer wing, Jatiyatabadi Swechchasebak Dal, for their involvement in activities that breached party discipline.

The expelled individuals have been identified as Md Ataur Rahman Ata, a member of the Manikganj district BNP, and Saiful Islam Firoz, a member of the Jhenaidah district BNP.

According to a press release signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Tuesday, the duo has been stripped of their primary membership and removed from all party positions.

The statement noted that the action was taken because they were involved in anti-organisational activities that defied party decisions.

In a simultaneous move, Saiful Islam Firoz has also been expelled from all positions within the Jatiyatabadi Swechchasebak Dal.

Prior to this disciplinary action, he served as the Senior Joint General Secretary of the central committee of the volunteer organisation
