On Thursday evening, an annual awards ceremony and cultural programme for meritorious trainees was organised at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) to honour meritorious players of the past year, selected from among its trainees.
Director General of BKSP, Brigadier General Md Munirul Islam, attended as the chief guest and presented badges, certificates, and cash awards to the meritorious trainees who had won medals in various competitions. Cricket’s Nishita Akter Nishi was awarded highest honour, the BKSP Blue, along with a BKSP Blazer for overall best performance of 2025.
72 individuals were awarded BKSP Colors, insignia badges, cash prizes, blazers, and certificates of honour in recognition of becoming champions or winning individual gold medals in various national and international competitions throughout the year.
The winners are Md Tamim Hossain, Siam Islam, Md Hafizur Rahman, Md. Mahidul Hasan, Md Niamul Sheikh, Md Kabir Hossain, Md Shipon Mia, Md Jisan Sheikh, Delowar Hossain Saeedi, Sanjida Afrin Parash Moni, Mim Akter, Tasmiya Hossain, and Rabiul Islam Hasib from Athletics. For Basketball, awards were handed out to Faisal Hossain and Fahad Rahman. Swapna Rani, Nobiron Khatun, Kanam Akter, Rupa Akter, Oyonto Bala Mahato, and Fordousi Akter Sonali received honours for football.
For swimming, the winners were Jui Akter, Md Monir Khan Tanmoy, Maisa Akter Mim, Poly Khatun, Md Mehedi Hasan, and Nandini Pahan. For table tennis, Abul Hashem Hasib, Khai Khai Sai Marma, and Musarrat Jahan Sigma.
For gymnastics, the winners were Bonfuli Chakma and Rafil Ahmed. For Judo, Anika Akter, Md Asaduzzaman, Azija Alea Lyon, Md Monowar Hossain, and Sonia. And, finally, for weightlifting, Md Rahim.
Certificates of honor for best players were also awarded to players from the existing sports departments at BKSP. They are: For archery, Abdullah Al Mohammad Rafi and Kulsum Akter Moni; for athletics, Tasmiya Hossain and Md Hafizur Rahman; badminton Md Raisul Islam Raj; for basketball, Md Rushel Hossain; for boxing, Sunny Ahmed Bepari; for cricket, Nishita Akter Nishi, Md Abdullah, Nobiron Khatun, and Md Mithu Chowdhury; for gymnastics, Bonfuli Chakma; Hockey – Irin Akter Ria and Mehedi Hasan Abhi; Judo – Azija Alea Lyon and Md. Asaduzzaman; Kabaddi – Md Zulfikar Akash; Karate – Md. Rahim; Shooting – Rubaiyat Tabassum and Zidan Hossain; Swimming – Jui Akter and Md. Monir Khan Tanmoy; Squash – Md Saimun Islam; Volleyball – Md Ridoy Pramanik; Taekwondo – Md. Shubho Mia; Weightlifting – Md. Rahim; Table Tennis – Khai Khai Sai Marma and Abul Hashem Hasib; Wushu – Sadia Afrin Rati and Md Babla Islam Shamim; and Tennis – Suborna Khatun and Kabyo Gayen. Several former legendary players, coaches, teachers, and staff of BKSP were also presented with crests of honor during the program.
In the second part of the event, an enjoyable cultural program was presented with the participation of BKSP trainees. Officials and trainees from all levels of BKSP were present at the event.
