Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) has become the country’s second-largest remittance collecting bank after recording more than $4 billion in foreign remittance inflows by the end of the fiscal year 2025-26, according to a press release.
The bank collected $4,100.62 million in remittances in the last fiscal year, equivalent to Tk 50,249 crore, marking a growth of more than 107 per cent compared with the same period of the previous fiscal year, BKB said in a press release.
BKB’s remittance collection has increased significantly over the past few years. The bank collected $371.83 million in the fiscal year 2021-22, ranking 17th among banks in remittance collection.
The amount rose to $522.24 million in FY2022-23 before reaching $718.48 million in FY2023-24, when the bank ranked 10th in remittance collection.
In FY2024-25, BKB collected $2,111.18 million in remittances and ranked fourth among banks.
The bank also set a new record by collecting $3.13 billion in remittances in 2025. In June 2026 alone, BKB collected $441.68 million, placing it at the top among all banks in the country for monthly remittance inflows.
