A bKash agent, identified as Md Motaleb Hossain, 61, has been murdered in Fatullah, Narayanganj. His body was found wrapped in bedding by the roadside on Thursday morning.
The victim is originally from Ramganj, Lakshmipur who worked as a librarian and bKash agent in Masdair Bazar. He had been missing since Wednesday night, leading his family to file a general diary with the police.
Sub-Inspector Rafiqul Islam of Fatullah Model Police Station confirmed that the body was recovered around 6:30am near Jamtala Haji Brothers Road.
Preliminary reports indicate that the victim was murdered on Wednesday. His body bore injury marks, signs of strangulation and burns caused by hot water.
The body has been sent to the Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for an autopsy. Police suspect a premeditated killing and are currently investigating to identify and arrest the perpetrators.
