Actress Bipasha Basu has shared a playful reaction to Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh naming their second daughter Devi, revealing that Deepika had previously told her she loved the name, writes NDTV.
Bipasha, whose daughter with husband Karan Singh Grover is also named Devi, commented on the couple’s announcement: “So you were really serious when you told me you love the name Devi.”
Deepika and Ranveer revealed their younger daughter’s name on Dussehra, sharing their first family photograph with both children on social media. The couple introduced the newborn as Devi Padukone Singh, with their elder daughter, Dua, seen kissing her baby sister in the picture.
The announcement drew warm wishes from fans and fellow celebrities, including Sharvari, Mrunal Thakur and Bhumi Pednekar.
Bipasha and Deepika previously worked together in the 2008 film ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’, directed by Siddharth Anand.
Deepika and Ranveer welcomed their second daughter on 19 September 2026. They became parents for the first time in September 2024, when Dua was born.
