Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay has departed Dhaka for Thimphu after wrapping up his two‑day state visit to Bangladesh.
He was seen off at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital by Foreign Adviser M Touhid Hossain, while Commerce Adviser Sheikh Bashir Uddin and Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam were also present.
The Bhutanese prime minister’s flight left around 8:30am on Monday, according to the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing.
Prior to departure, he was accorded a guard of honour in line with state protocol.
During the visit, Bangladesh and Bhutan signed two Memoranda of Understanding — one focused on healthcare cooperation and the other on internet connectivity.
The Bhutanese leader also joined a range of engagements, including bilateral discussions with Bangladesh Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus, as well as meetings with advisers, senior officials, and political leaders.
