The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has responded to recent media remarks made by former national women’s team pacer Jahanara Alam, in which she alleged misconduct by the current team captain, players, staff, and management.
The Board has categorically rejected these claims, describing them as baseless, fabricated, and without any foundation in truth. The BCB expressed regret that such scandalous and derogatory statements have been made at a time when the Bangladesh women’s team is achieving notable progress and unity on the international stage.
According to the Board, the timing and nature of these allegations appear deliberate and ill-intentioned, seemingly aimed at undermining the team’s confidence and morale. The BCB stressed that it is deeply disappointing for an individual with no current involvement in the national team’s plans to make such misleading public statements.
The Board reaffirmed its full trust and confidence in the women’s team leadership, players, and management. It stated that no evidence has been found to substantiate any of the claims, and the BCB stands firmly behind the team and all personnel.
