Bangladesh Under 19 have booked their place in the semifinals of the ACC Men’s Under 19 Asia Cup 2025. Two straight wins in the group stage confirmed their spot in the last four.
Bangladesh started the tournament with victories over Afghanistan Under 19 and Nepal Under 19. Those results put them in a strong position early. Their semifinal place became certain after Afghanistan Under 19 lost to Sri Lanka Under 19 in another group match.
Bangladesh Under 19 and Sri Lanka Under 19 have both won their first two matches. Each team has four points. Sri Lanka Under 19 sit at the top of the table due to a better net run rate. Bangladesh Under 19 are just behind them.
The two sides will meet in the final group match. The winner will finish as group champions. That match will be played on 17 December.
If Bangladesh Under 19 top Group B, they will face the runners up of Group A in the semifinals. Pakistan Under 19 and the United Arab Emirates Under 19 are fighting for that spot. Their match on 16 December will likely decide the Group A runners up.
India Under 19 are leading Group A. A win in their final group match will send them into the semifinals as group champions.
If Bangladesh Under 19 lose to Sri Lanka Under 19, they will finish second in the group. In that case, they will face India Under 19 in the semifinals. If Bangladesh finish first, they are likely to play Pakistan Under 19 or the United Arab Emirates Under 19.
The tournament’s semifinals will take place on 19 December. The final will be played on 21 December.
