Bangladeshi cricketers left the country on Monday to take part in the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League, which is set to begin on March 26.
Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam, Nahid Rana and Parvez Hossain Emon departed for Pakistan on the same flight. Alongside them, Rishad Hossain and Tanzid Hasan Tamim have also secured teams in the tournament.
From the PSL draft, Lahore Qalandars signed Mustafizur and Emon. Rishad was picked by a Rawalpindi-based franchise. Nahid, Tanzid and Shoriful will represent Peshawar Zalmi.
A source from the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s cricket operations department confirmed that the six players have been granted No Objection Certificates until April 12.
They will have to return to the country after that, as New Zealand are scheduled to tour Bangladesh for two white-ball series.
