The Bangladesh High Commission in London showcased the nation’s vibrant heritage and craftsmanship at the Commonwealth Fair held at Kensington Town Hall, marking the 100th anniversary of the Commonwealth Countries League (CCL) and celebrating all 56 member nations.
The fair held on Saturday drew visitors from across the Commonwealth.
Bangladesh’s pavilion emerged as a key attraction, showcasing handcrafted jute and textiles alongside premium leather goods and elegant pearls.
The display reflected the country’s rich cultural heritage and traditional craftsmanship, according to a message received on Tuesday.
Visitors also had the chance to savour authentic Bangladeshi cuisine, which drew praise from attendees for its unique flavours.
The event provided a platform to promote cultural understanding and strengthen goodwill among Commonwealth nations.
Proceeds from the fair will be directed to the Commonwealth Girls’ Education Fund (CGEF), supporting education for underprivileged girls in member countries.
