Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has launched the country’s first-ever FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) Talent Identification Workshop, which began on 21 October 2025 at the Shamsul Huda Football Academy in Jashore. The four-day residential workshop, fully funded by FIFA, will continue until 24 October 2025.
The initiative marks a major milestone in Bangladesh football’s long-term development, aiming to establish a nationwide scouting network that can consistently identify and nurture emerging talent across the country. A total of 32 licensed coaches are participating, including 20 who will scout male talents and the rest of 12 coaches will scout female talents holding AFC ‘A’ and ‘B’ coaching licences.
According to the BFF, the federation is not charging any course fees. Participants are being provided with full accommodation, meals, and official kits. Upon completion of the workshop, each participant will receive a FIFA-endorsed certificate.
Throughout the year, these newly trained scouts will work under the BFF banner to spot young talent from age-based, regional, and national tournaments. The federation expects this initiative to significantly enhance Bangladesh’s football development structure by creating a professional and standardised scouting pathway for the first time in the nation’s history.
The workshop is being jointly conducted by FIFA’s Regional Technical Consultant Chokey Nima and BFF Technical Director AKM Saiful Bari Titu. Both instructors expressed optimism that this structured scouting network will help unearth future national team players and strengthen grassroots football in the years ahead.
