After nearly two decades in Bangladesh’s music scene, musician Raef Al Hasan Rafa is preparing to take a new step with his first solo concert alongside his band AvoidRafa.
Titled ‘Eto Boka Keno Tumi’, the concert will take place at InterContinental Dhaka on 2 October. The gates will open at 4pm, with the main show scheduled to begin at 6pm.
Rafa has remained a familiar name in the local rock scene through his work with bands including Aurthohin and Cryptic Fate. He later formed AvoidRafa and has continued performing across the country.
The concert will feature some of his popular songs, including ‘Cholo Arekbar Uri’, ‘Tumi Daklei Firbo’ and ‘Ami Akash Pathabo’. Rafa will also look back on different chapters of his musical career and share stories from his journey.
Several musicians who have worked with Rafa over the years are expected to join him on stage. Aurthohin will also appear as a guest band.
Rafa joined Aurthohin in 2003 and remained with the group for more than a decade before leaving in 2015.
“I have been working on this concert for a long time. Finally, I am coming before everyone with my first solo concert,” Rafa said.
“Over my 20–25 years in music, I have achieved many things and been fortunate to be part of a lot of good music. I have countless memories. I will share my entire journey, and there will be many more surprises. I hope it will be a great evening,” he added.
Early-bird tickets are currently available for Tk 999. The event is scheduled for 2 October at InterContinental Dhaka, with the show beginning at 6pm.
