Atletico Madrid tore Tottenham Hotspur apart in a chaotic Champions League clash in Madrid on Tuesday night, racing into a four-goal lead inside 23 ruthless minutes. Marcos Llorente, Antoine Griezmann, Julian Alvarez and Robin Le Normand all struck early as Igor Tudor’s Spurs collapsed under relentless pressure.

The nightmare began almost instantly. Tottenham goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky slipped under pressure and gifted possession to Ademola Lookman, who calmly squared for Llorente to finish. Atletico sensed blood and surged forward again.

Moments later, Micky van de Ven lost his footing, allowing Griezmann to glide through and slot home. Tottenham’s back line looked rattled, their composure dissolving under Atletico’s ferocious pressing.

Then came the moment that ended Kinsky’s night. The young goalkeeper slipped once more while clearing the ball, leaving Julian Alvarez with the simplest finish imaginable. Tudor had seen enough.

The Tottenham boss hauled Kinsky off after only 17 minutes and replaced him with Guglielmo Vicario. Even Atletico supporters applauded the departing goalkeeper, a rare gesture of sympathy on a brutal European night.

But Atletico kept swinging. Le Normand pounced on a scramble to make it four before Tottenham finally responded. Pedro Porro drilled a low finish past Jan Oblak to halt the carnage temporarily.

Spurs created chances when Atletico eased the tempo, yet Simeone’s side still struck again with ruthless efficiency. Oblak sparked a lightning counter with a brilliant save from Richarlison, and Alvarez finished the move clinically for his second of the night.

Tudor now faces serious pressure. Four consecutive defeats have dragged Tottenham toward crisis, and his bold decision to drop first-choice goalkeeper Vicario backfired spectacularly.
