Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman departed for Saudi Arabia on Friday with his spouse to perform the holy Hajj.
According to official sources, the army chief is visiting Saudi Arabia as a royal guest at the invitation of the Saudi government.
During his stay, he will perform the Hajj rituals in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.
After completing the pilgrimage, General Waker-Uz-Zaman is scheduled to return to Bangladesh on 1 June, 2026.
