Argentina have finalised the kits they will wear during the group stage of the 2026 World Cup. The defending champions will play in their traditional sky blue and white strip against Algeria and Austria before switching to a new black away kit against Jordan in Group J.
Lionel Messi and his team will begin their campaign against Algeria on 16 June in Kansas City. Argentina will wear their familiar sky blue and white striped shirt, blue shorts and blue socks. Goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez will play in an all-orange kit.
Argentina will keep the same outfield strip for their second group match against Austria. Martinez, however, will switch to a light green goalkeeper kit for that fixture.
The world champions will unveil their new black away shirt in their final group match against Jordan in Dallas. The design combines black with touches of blue and sky blue, while the numbers and logos appear in white.
Martinez will again wear a green goalkeeper kit against Jordan. This version will feature a darker shade than the one used against Austria.
The new away shirt draws inspiration from traditional decorative artwork found in Argentina’s capital, Buenos Aires. Designers have incorporated elements of that artistic style into the back of the shirt and the wider design.
Argentina enter the tournament as defending champions and will wear their classic colours in two of their three group matches. The clash with Jordan will mark the first World Cup appearance for the new black away kit.
