Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is set to travel to Islamabad, Pakistan, on Friday night for consultations, before continuing on to Muscat in Oman and Moscow in Russia, according to state-linked media reports.
The diplomatic tour comes at a time when negotiations between Iran and the United States remain deadlocked, with uncertainty continuing over whether Tehran will take part in further rounds of talks.
Citing the semiofficial Mehr news agency, Al Jazeera reports said Araghchi will begin a series of visits to Islamabad, Muscat, and Moscow starting this evening.
The visit aims to hold bilateral consultations, discuss current regional developments, and review what Iran describes as the latest situation surrounding the “imposed war” involving the United States and Israel against the country.
The planned engagements are seen as part of Tehran’s broader diplomatic outreach amid escalating geopolitical tensions and stalled nuclear-related discussions with Washington.
