Ziaul Faruq Apurba and Naznin Nahar Niha are set to appear together in the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha special television drama ‘Mayapakhi’, directed by Zakaria Soukhin.
The single-episode drama is already drawing attention ahead of its release as it marks the third collaboration between the team behind the popular productions ‘Monduari’ and ‘Meghbalika’.
Like the earlier dramas, Mayapakhi revolves around relationships, although the makers say the storytelling approach this time will be significantly different.
Director Zakaria Soukhin said the new project would offer viewers unexpected twists and emotional moments throughout the narrative.
“Those who regularly watch my dramas will get something with a different flavour this time,” he said.
Apurba also expressed confidence about the production, describing it as an emotionally driven story that would resonate strongly with audiences.
“This is a story that will make everyone feel emotionally connected,” the actor said. “By the end of the story, viewers will feel deeply moved.”
Niha described the drama as one of the most challenging projects of her career so far.
“It was a very challenging project for me,” she said. “I performed in a way I never have before. Audiences will discover me differently through this drama.”
The actress added that she was personally excited about the release and hoped viewers would connect with the characters and story.
Mayapakhi is scheduled to premiere during Eid-ul-Azha on the YouTube channel of CMV.
