One person has died from dengue fever in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning, bringing the total number of dengue-related deaths in Bangladesh to 10 this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.
During the same period, 139 new patients were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne viral infection, raising the total number of confirmed cases this year to 5,039.
According to the DGHS, the latest death was reported from an area under the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).
The health authority also said that 56.8 per cent of dengue patients recorded so far this year are male, while 43.2 per cent are female.
In its update, the DGHS noted that Bangladesh recorded 102,861 dengue cases and 413 deaths linked to the disease in 2025.
