Another child has died with measles symptoms in Chuadanga.
The eight-month-old Amir Hamza died at around 12pm on Saturday while undergoing treatment at Chuadanga Sadar Hospital.
The child was the son of Ibrahim Ali from Kurulgachhi village in Damurhuda upazila.
Chuadanga Sadar Hospital Residential Medical Officer Nazmus Sakib said the child was brought to the hospital on Wednesday with measles symptoms and was later admitted to the measles isolation ward.
He died while under treatment on Saturday noon, he said. A total of 17 patients with measles symptoms are currently admitted to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital.
Earlier, a nine-month-old child named Humaira died at the same hospital on 24 April.
