Anil Kapoor has arrived in Hyderabad to begin shooting for the much-anticipated Telugu film Dragon, starring alongside Jr NTR. The film has already generated strong buzz and is expected to be among the biggest theatrical releases of 2027.
According to NDTV, Kapoor shared a nostalgic post on Instagram on Wednesday, which also marked actress Kajol’s birthday. Before starting work, the veteran actor recalled shooting with Kajol at Ramoji Film City. He said Kajol had once jokingly told him that even years later, after marriage and raising a family, he would still be shooting at the same location.
Her playful prediction has now come true. Kapoor returned to Ramoji Film City on Kajol’s birthday, this time for Dragon. Calling the coincidence a “true blessing”, he also expressed hope of sharing the screen with Kajol again in the future.
Dragon marks a major milestone in Kapoor’s career as it brings him back to Telugu cinema after almost 46 years. He made his Telugu debut with the 1980 film Vamsa Vruksham.
In Dragon, Kapoor will play Raghuveer Rathod, the Chief of India’s Narcotics Bureau.
