Amzad Hussain has resigned from his position as a director of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, submitting a letter to the BCB president on Monday.
In his resignation, he cited personal reasons for stepping down. A source close to the development has confirmed his resignation.
The development comes a day after changes were made within the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s committees, where Mokhsedul Kamal Babu was appointed as the new chairman of the media committee.
Previously serving as the vice chairman of the same committee, Mokhsedul is also currently in charge of the BCB’s welfare committee.
Amzad Hussain had taken charge as the chairman of the media committee in October last year. However, he has now stepped down from his role as director.
On Sunday evening, Amzad was removed from the position and replaced by Mokhsedul. The exact reason behind his removal, however, remains unclear.
