The American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AmCham) organised AmCham Wellness Talk: Smarter Ways to Prevent and Treat Heart Diseases in 2025 on Saturday at The Westin Dhaka, with IHH Healthcare Singapore (Mount Elizabeth Hospital Singapore) Bangladesh Office as the wellness partner.
AmCham President Syed Ershad Ahmed, in his opening remarks, said that while AmCham continues to strengthen U.S.–Bangladesh economic collaboration and advance policy advocacy for its members, it also recognises the importance of promoting the health and well-being of the business leaders who drive its mission.
Dr Pipin Kojodjojo, senior consultant and cardiologist at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals, Singapore, delivered a presentation on heart health, highlighting the latest research insights, diagnostic methods, and effective treatment strategies. His talk was followed by an interactive question-and-answer session.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks from Zahid Hassan Khan, director of IHH Healthcare Singapore (Mount Elizabeth Hospital Singapore) Bangladesh Office.
The event was attended by former AmCham president Md Nurul Islam, BIDA director general Md Ariful Hoque, members of the AmCham Executive Committee, AmCham members, and senior executives from IHH Healthcare Singapore Bangladesh Office.
