Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC, a leading Shariah-compliant financial institution in Bangladesh, has entered a strategic partnership with Trust And Pay (TAP), a mobile financial services provider owned by Trust Bank. The partnership aims to boost digital financial services and offer greater convenience to customers.
The agreement was signed on Tuesday at Al-Arafah Islami Bank’s head office. SM Abu Jafar, deputy managing director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank, and SM Akram, chief executive officer of TAP, formalised the partnership.
The signing was participated by key officials from both organisations, including Md Soheb Ahmed, executive vice president and CTO of Al-Arafah Islami Bank, Jalal Ahmed, executive vice president and head of brand communication and marketing, Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, head of MFS and digital banking; and Md Alamgir Hossain, head of regulatory and partnership business of TAP.
This collaboration underscores Al-Arafah Islami Bank’s dedication to advancing Shariah-compliant digital solutions and enhancing financial inclusion in Bangladesh, the bank said in a press release.
