The Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 will begin in Qatar on 14 November, and Bangladesh A have named a youthful squad led by former Under-19 World Cup-winning captain Akbar Ali. The tournament will feature a mix of emerging players and experienced names as Bangladesh A aim to make a strong impression.
Bangladesh A have been placed in a competitive group with Hong Kong, Afghanistan A, and Sri Lanka A. The team will play their group matches on 15, 17, and 19 November, all taking place in Doha. The semi-finals are scheduled for 21 November, followed by the final on 23 November.
The squad includes several rising talents such as Jishan Alam, Ariful Islam, Zawad Abrar, and SM Meherob, who are seen as future prospects for the national side. They will be supported by players with international experience, including Mahidul Islam Ankon and Mrittunjoy Chowdhury.
To bring balance to the youthful side, experienced campaigners Yasir Ali and Abu Hider Rony have also been named in the squad.
