Global pop star Shakira will return to Egypt for the first time in nearly two decades with a concert at the Pyramids of Giza on 28 November.
The Colombian singer will perform at the UNESCO World Heritage Site in a show organised by Venture Lifestyle, marking her first appearance in the country since performing at the same venue in 2007.
The concert adds to Venture Lifestyle’s list of major international productions in the Middle East. The company has previously brought artists including Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, Katy Perry and Demi Lovato to the region.
Shakira’s return comes during her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran era following the release of her latest album and a series of performances around the world.
Across a career spanning more than three decades, the singer has sold over 95 million records, won multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards, and remains one of the most successful global stars in Latin music.
She recently released Dai Dai, which features on the official soundtrack for the FIFA World Cup.
