The 21st Academic Council Meeting of Aviation and Aerospace University, Bangladesh (AAUB) was held on 14 July 2026 at the university’s conference room in Dhaka campus, said in a press release. The meeting was presided over by Vice-Chancellor Air Vice Marshal M Mustafizur Rahman, BSP, GUP, nswc, afwc, psc, GD(P).
During the session, the Vice-Chancellor expressed gratitude to all council members, highlighting that collective efforts are advancing good governance, quality higher education and research, and contributing to the university’s development as a model higher education institution in Bangladesh. He summarised key academic and administrative achievements completed since the 20th Academic Council meeting and presented proposals to update the syllabus of various courses, which were discussed and approved subject to members’ observations.
The meeting included participation from representatives of the Bangladesh Air Force, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Airlines Training Centre, Bangladesh University of Professionals, Bangladesh Maritime University and Military Institute of Science and Technology, alongside other AAUB members.
The council also reviewed progress across academic programmes, research initiatives and administrative developments, emphasising collaboration among military and civilian educational institutions to strengthen aerospace and aviation education in Bangladesh.
Air Vice Marshal Rahman underscored the importance of continuous curriculum review and alignment with international standards, noting that the university aims to produce graduates equipped with cutting-edge knowledge and practical skills to support the country’s aviation and aerospace sectors.
The meeting concluded with approval of the revised syllabi, and members reiterated their commitment to advancing AAUB’s mission of fostering excellence in education and research.
