A high-level delegation from the US-based Robert F Kennedy Human Rights organisation met with Inspector General of Police (IGP) Bangladesh Baharul Alam on Wednesday morning.
The three-member delegation, led by President Kerry Kennedy and comprising Vice President (International Advocacy and Litigation) Angelita Baeyens and Asia Staff Attorney Catherine Cooper, met with the IGP at Police Headquarters.
During the meeting, the delegation discussed Bangladesh’s human rights situation and related matters.
The IGP informed them that Bangladesh Police remains committed to upholding human rights while ensuring transparency and accountability in law enforcement.
Senior police officials were also present during the discussion.
