Chief Election Commissioner A M M Nasir Uddin on Saturday held a views exchange meeting with election officials from all tiers of the Barishal region ahead of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad elections.
The session began at 10am at the Regional Election Office hall room, reports BSS.
Regional Election Officers, Senior District Election Officers, Additional District Election Officers and Upazila and Thana Election Officers from across Barishal were in attendance.
Regional Election Officer Md Faridul Islam chaired the meeting.
Later in the afternoon, the CEC is scheduled to sit with divisional and police administration officials, along with representatives of law enforcement agencies, at the Circuit House conference room in Barishal city to review preparations for the upcoming national election.
He is expected to brief the media following the meeting.
