The Premier Bank PLC held its 26th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday, 13 October 2025, via a digital platform. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Arifur Rahman, Honourable Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Board members, including Independent Directors Md. Forkan Hossain, Syed Faridul Islam, Md. Sazzad Hossain,
Professor Sheikh Morshed Jahan, and M. Nurul Alam, FCS, attended the meeting alongside the bank’s management team, led by Managing Director & CEO Mohammad Abu Jafar and Deputy Managing Director Syed Abul Hashem, FCA, FCMA. A significant number of shareholders joined virtually.
In his opening speech, Dr. Arifur Rahman thanked the bank’s customers, shareholders, and staff for their unwavering support. He emphasized the bank’s commitment to good governance, transparency, and sustainable banking practices, and reiterated the importance of the depositor and shareholder relationship in the bank’s growth.
During the meeting, Mohammad Abu Jafar, Managing Director & CEO, presented the Annual Report 2024, sharing key performance highlights and encouraging all staff to contribute to the bank’s future success.
