Southeast Bank PLC held its 30th Annual General Meeting (AGM) virtually on Wednesday. Chairman MA Kashem chaired the event while Vice Chairperson Rehana Rahman joined virtually.
Other directors and key officials, including Managing Director Abidur Rahman Chowdhury, also attended.
Kashem thanked the shareholders for their continued support, ensuring that their suggestions for improving the bank’s performance and brand image would be gradually implemented.
The AGM discussed the bank’s performance, reporting an operating profit of Tk 1,172.13 million for 2024. As of December 31, 2024, its total deposits stood at Tk 41,134.39 million and total assets reached Tk 54,585.86 million.
Its earnings per share was Tk 0.32, with a net asset value per share of Tk 23.59. The Price-Earnings Ratio was 23.94 times, and regulatory capital amounted to Tk 4,158.21 million.
The bank maintains a strong cost efficiency, with a cost-to-income ratio of 38.83%.
Credit Rating Information and Services Limited assigned Southeast Bank an AA rating for long-term and ST-2 for short-term, based on the audited financials up to December 31 last year.
In his address, Managing Director Chowdhury outlined future plans to improve the bank’s operational efficiency and asset quality.
