With a goal to pursue independent and objective journalism, Daily Times of Bangladesh is set to relaunch its print edition on September 1, 2025.
The English broadsheet, now bearing a new logo and tagline “Window to the World,” promises to deliver a comprehensive and insightful view of the most important stories shaping the country and the world.
This media outlet has taken a bold step by declaring its editorial independence at a time when media impartiality is often questioned. The newspaper published its editorial policy, committing to safeguard editorial freedom.
Decisions on news contents will be made solely by Daily Times of Bangladesh’s editorial team, free from influence by political, commercial or ownership interests, marking a significant departure from conventional media practices.
“This editorial independence is integral to our goal,” said editorial board member M Abul Kalam Azad.
“In the turbulent pre-election transition, journalism struggles with censorship, intimidations, political pressure, ownership bias, and economic vulnerability, which undermine independent reporting. Amid this, we want to make sure that every decision – what to report, how to report, and when to publish – is guided by journalistic integrity and objectivity, not by external pressures,” he assured.
Daily Times of Bangladesh’s contents will span diverse topics, including politics, business, healthcare, crime, technology, and culture, providing in-depth analysis and thought-provoking opinions.
Alongside breaking news, readers can expect multimedia content such as visual storytelling, talk shows, and event analyses, enhancing the interactive experience.
The newspaper will be available in both print and digital editions, with an e-paper and easily accessible online. This digital shift aims to keep readers connected to the news all the time.
