23 Bangladeshi cricketers have registered themselves for the upcoming SA20 auction. This year’s auction features a massive pool of 782 players from different parts of the world.

The registration window closed on August 18. Organizers are yet to officially release the full list, but Cricbuzz revealed country-wise details of the registered players.

Unsurprisingly, South Africa leads with 328 names. England follows with 153. West Indies contributed 50, Pakistan 40, Sri Lanka 36, Afghanistan 27, USA 24, and Bangladesh 23.

Other nations are also represented. India has 13 players, while the UAE and Scotland each have 11. Zimbabwe, Ireland, and the Netherlands all have 10. New Zealand registered 9, Namibia 5, and Australia, Canada, Nepal, and Oman each have 3.

Even Malawi and Germany have 2 names each, with Cambodia, Uganda, and Botswana contributing 1 apiece.

The auction will take place on September 9 in Johannesburg. Six franchises will be able to sign a combined total of 84 players.

The fourth edition of SA20 is set to begin on December 26, with the final scheduled for January 25, 2026. The timeline overlaps with the Bangladesh Premier League, which means Bangladeshi players might still face uncertainty even if they find a team in the auction.
