Kidnapped child rescued in Naikhyangchhari

A joint team comprising the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), and police successfully rescued 7-year-old Bappi, who was kidnapped from the remote Naikhyangchhari area of Bandarban, on Friday, the third day of his abduction.

The child, son of a Saudi expatriate named Sabul Kader, was rescued unharmed after a coordinated operation along the Myanmar border.

The special forces team, which launched a continuous search operation, located the child late Friday night. District police confirmed the rescue in a statement issued at 9 PM.

Bappi was abducted on the night of July 29, 2025, at around 11:30 PM from his home in the Rangajhiri area of Baishari Union in Naikhyangchhari by armed, masked assailants.
