Dhaka Abahani are set to boost their squad with the arrivals of midfielder Sheikh Morsalin and centre forward Al-Amin for the upcoming season, in what appears to be a calculated and promising transfer window for the Sky Blues.

Morsalin, widely regarded as one of the brightest young talents in Bangladeshi football, is set to join from Bashundhara Kings, while striker Al-Amin is expected to arrive from Bangladesh Police FC. The pair are among the most sought-after domestic players, and their addition would significantly strengthen Abahani’s core ahead of both domestic and continental challenges.

Abahani manager Satyajit Das Rupu confirmed the moves are in progress but not yet finalised. “We’ll announce it once the paperwork is completely done,” he told Times of Bangladesh.

If finalised, the double signing will reflect a sharper and more ambitious transfer strategy from Abahani compared to that of their historic rivals, Mohammedan SC. The Black and Whites, reigning Bangladesh Premier League champions, were tipped to dominate the transfer market after their title win last season. However, it is Abahani who have moved decisively in the early stages of the window.

With the AFC Challenge League qualifiers on the horizon, the new arrivals could provide the added dynamism and depth that Abahani require. The club is also reportedly in talks with foreign targets to reinforce key positions, aiming to build a squad capable of competing beyond domestic borders.

As the 2025–26 season approaches, the balance of power in Bangladeshi football could once again be shifting, and Abahani look determined to return to the summit—both at home and in Asia.
