Amitabh Bachchan has shared a humorous memory from the early years of his marriage to Jaya Bachchan, revealing that she used to call him “Lambu Ji” until his father, poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, suggested she address him differently.
According to NDTV, during an interaction with Ranbir Kapoor on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, the veteran actor recalled that Jaya had used the affectionate nickname for years. However, his father eventually advised her to call Amitabh by his name or choose another form of address.
The conversation also turned to the height differences between the Bachchan and Kapoor families. Ranbir said he often imagined photographs featuring himself, Amitabh, Alia Bhatt and Jaya, picturing himself as slightly taller and Alia as shorter, similar to Amitabh and Jaya.
Amitabh joined in the discussion, revealing that he stands around 6 feet 2 inches tall, while Jaya is approximately 5 feet 3 or 4 inches.
