Actress Tanjim Saiara Totini has found an unusual way to practise her English by striking up conversations with two dogs during a break from shooting.
Known for winning audiences over with her performances, Totini is also passionate about singing. She occasionally shares snippets of her songs on social media.
This time, however, a playful video featuring her unusual English practice has caught fans’ attention.
On Sunday night, 1 November, Totini posted the video on her Facebook page. Standing in the dim evening light, she can be seen speaking English to two dogs.
As she tries to explain her thoughts to them, she also asks viewers whether her English is correct.
“Is English difficult? No. I was actually trying to explain to him that he looks beautiful and innocent, but he is not really like that. There is an aggressive look in his eyes,” she says in the video.
Totini then asks her followers to assess her English-speaking skills. She introduces one of the dogs as her “friend”, although she does not know its name.
Initially, she thinks the dog looks aggressive. But after observing it more closely, she realises that it is quite calm. She eventually reaches out and pets it.
The other dog reminds her of Hollywood star Kylie Jenner. According to Totini, the dog even looks like the celebrity.
The light-hearted video has attracted considerable attention online. It has received more than 375,000 views and over 17,000 reactions on her Facebook page, while hundreds of followers have joined the conversation in the comments.
Meanwhile, Totini is set to appear in the upcoming drama ‘Mon Duniya’, directed by Imraul Rafat. Tawsif Mahbub will play opposite her.
The drama’s teaser is scheduled for release next Tuesday, while the full production is expected to premiere on Capital Drama’s YouTube channel on 6 November.
