A dispute over paternal property becomes a struggle for justice in the television drama ‘Ongshidar’, which explores women’s inheritance rights, family discrimination and the courage to stand against injustice.

The story follows two sisters who face attempts by their uncle and other relatives to deprive them of their rightful share of their late father’s property. Their relatives resort to conspiracy, intimidation and abuse, even threatening to drive them out of their home. Despite the pressure, the elder sister refuses to give up and takes a stand to claim what is rightfully hers.

Through the family conflict, ‘Ongshidar’ highlights the social barriers faced by fatherless daughters seeking their inheritance. It also draws attention to the legal questions surrounding women’s property rights, alongside themes of dignity, equality and resistance to injustice.
