Islamic Finance and Investment PLC (IFIPLC) Chairman S M Bakhtiar Alam has been unanimously re-elected to the post.
The decision was taken at the 382nd meeting of the Board of Directors held at the IFIPLC Head Office in Dhaka on 28 October, said a press release on Saturday.
Alam obtained an MSc with BSc Honours from the University of Dhaka and is a Life Registered Graduate of the university. He is the former Chairman and founding Treasurer of Eastern University and currently a member of its Board of Trustees.
He is also a patron of several educational and social organisations, a Chartered Member of the Bangladesh Liberation War Museum, and a permanent member of The Dhaka Club.
