A youth was killed after an unidentified vehicle struck him while he was crossing the road in front of Gazi Shopping Complex in Naya Paltan, Dhaka on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Mizanur Rahman, 24.
Paltan Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Jahid Hasan confirmed the death.
The incident took place around 5:30am.
Police recovered the body from the scene and sent it to the Dhaka Medical College morgue. The CID Forensic Team confirmed Mizanur’s identity through fingerprint analysis.
Efforts are underway to contact his family.
