NRB Bank PLC credit card holders will continue to have their outstanding credit card balance settled in the event of death or permanent disability, following the bank’s recent renewal of its partnership with MetLife Bangladesh for the eighth consecutive year. The cover is subject to policy terms and conditions.
Eligible card holders will also receive an In-Hospital Cash Benefit for each hospitalisation, intended to help manage medical expenses during treatment and recovery, said a press release on Saturday.
NRB Bank MD and CEO Tareq Reaz Khan and MetLife Bangladesh CEO Ala Ahmad signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations. Senior officials from both organisations attended the signing ceremony.
Reaz Khan said, “Our partnership with MetLife Bangladesh for the eighth year will allow eligible credit cardholders to continue benefiting from insurance protection designed to support them and their families during difficult and unexpected situations.”
Ala Ahmad in his speech said, “Financial protection can make an important difference during an unexpected health crisis or other unforeseen event. By continuing our partnership with NRB Bank PLC, we aim to provide insurance benefits that can help reduce financial worries.”
