Disney+ is bringing back Darkwing Duck with Mark Hamill leading a new animated series alongside Seth Rogen, Lizzy Caplan and Lilimar.
The Hollywood Reporter reported that Hamill will voice Drake Mallard, aka Darkwing Duck, with Rogen as Launchpad McQuack, Caplan as Gosalyn Mallard and Lilimar as Duckie.
The original series debuted in 1991 and ran for 91 episodes, with Jim Cummings voicing the title character.
The new story finds Darkwing trapped for 35 years in an alternate world where nobody knows his heroic past. A rebellious teen, Duckie, brings him back into action against old foes including Negaduck and Megavolt.
Dan Stevens, Tiffany Shepis and Kathryn Newton also join the cast. Sean Tretta and Borja Peña Gorostegui executive produce, while original creator Tad Stones consults.
Produced by Disney Television Animation and Point Grey Pictures, the revival has been in development since 2020.
