Popular Tollywood actress Paoli Dam has appeared in a different role in the new period series The Revolutionaries, directed by Nikkhil Advani. The series was released on OTT platforms on Friday, 11 September.
The period drama tells the story of revolutionaries who took up armed resistance against British rule, focusing on their ideals, courage and sacrifices. The main story revolves around four revolutionaries.
Paoli plays an important role in the series alongside Tota Roy Choudhury, Kashish Saluja and others. Jason Shah portrays General Dyer.
On the day of the series’ release, Paoli shared several behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot on social media.
The pictures offered glimpses of different moments from the sets of The Revolutionaries. Her new look and character have also generated considerable interest among viewers.
Released on Amazon Prime Video, the series is also drawing attention for its unusual casting. Bhuvan Bam plays Rash Behari Bose, while Rohit Saraf portrays Sachindra Nath Sanyal.
