The government has appointed new secretaries to four ministries, including the Ministry of Public Administration, and promoted three additional secretaries to the rank of secretary.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications regarding these appointments and promotions on Wednesday.
According to the notifications, Kamruzzaman Chowdhury, who was serving as the contract-based secretary of Health Services Division, has been appointed as the secretary of Ministry of Public Administration.
Meanwhile, the government has promoted three additional secretaries to the rank of secretary.
ANM Bazlur Rashid, an additional secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, has been promoted and posted to Health Services Division.
AKM Benjamin Riazi, who was serving as an additional secretary of the Ministry of Industries, has been promoted to the rank of secretary and posted to Health Education and Family Welfare Division as its secretary.
Yasmin Begum, an additional secretary of the Cabinet Division, has also been promoted to the rank of secretary and posted to the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
In another development, Kaniz Maula, the secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, has been attached to the Ministry of Public Administration pending her next posting.
