Nearly 200 research papers from scholars across 24 countries will be presented at the first Hong Kong Research Center for Asian Studies-Bangladesh Center (RCASBC) International Conference 2026, to be held at the University of Chittagong on 13 and 14 September.
The conference, titled “Rethinking Rule-Based Global Order: Middle and Small States in a Changing World,” has received 457 abstract submissions from 24 countries, representing more than 120 universities and research institutions, said a press release on Tuesday.
The submissions represent scholars from Asia, Europe, Africa, North America and the Pacific, including Bangladesh, India, China, Japan, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the United States, Russia and Vietnam, among others.
The submissions collectively include approximately 800 authors.
Following the review process, nearly 200 research papers are anticipated to be presented across six thematic sessions during the two-day conference.
The conference is being organised by the Hong Kong Research Center for Asian Studies–Bangladesh Center in collaboration with the Department of International Relations, University of Chittagong.
The conference will feature scholars, academics, diplomats and officials from Bangladesh and abroad as keynote speakers, paper presenters and discussants. The supervision and management will be carried out by the Chittagong University International Relations Society.
