Robi Axiata PLC has launched a national case competition called “Privacy Avengers” aimed at raising awareness among young people about data protection and privacy, while helping develop the next generation of leaders in the field. The company said in a press release that the competition, open to university students from all disciplines across Bangladesh, was launched in Dhaka on 30 August 2026 as part of its “Privacy First” initiative.
Participants will form teams of three and develop innovative, practical solutions to real-life challenges related to data protection and the privacy of personal information, with their proposals required to account for customer trust, business requirements and emerging technologies. Robi said the initiative was designed to promote a culture of responsible data use among young people and to contribute to developing future digital leaders.
Participation in the competition is free of charge. Registration will be open from 1 September to 21 September 2026 through Robi’s website at robi.com.bd/privacy-avengers, with the competition carrying a total prize pool of Tk500,000.
Registered teams will be required to analyse a designated case and submit a concept paper by 24 September. Following an initial screening, the top 20 teams will advance to the next round as “Privacy Defenders”, with the top 10 selected teams then receiving mentorship and guidance from experienced industry professionals.
In the final round, teams will present their solutions before a grand jury on 13 October, with winners to be announced at an awards ceremony on 15 October. The winning team will be awarded the title of “Privacy Guardian 2026”.
