The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has suspended Mohammad Anisur Rahman, an administrative officer (AO) under the Law and Justice Division, on charges of misconduct and prolonged absence from duty.
The suspension was confirmed through an official order signed by Joint Secretary (Admin-2) SM Ershadul Alam on Saturday.
According to the order, the action has been taken under sub-sections ‘Kha’ and ‘Ga’ of Section 3 of the Government Officers (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 2018.
The ministry has also initiated a formal departmental proceeding to fully investigate the allegations against Anisur Rahman.
The action underscores the ministry’s stated commitment to maintaining discipline and accountability within the civil service.
