The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rainfall and thundershowers for various regions across the country over 24-hour period starting from 9am on Monday.
According to a weather bulletin released in this morning, light to moderate precipitation, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, is anticipated in most areas of the Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.
Similar weather conditions are expected in many parts of Khulna division. The Met office further noted that moderately heavy to heavy downpours may occur in certain locations nationwide.
Temperatures during both the day and night are expected to see a slight decrease across the country.
In the 24 hours ending at 6am on Monday, Dimla saw the highest volume of rainfall, recording 101 millimetres. The peak temperature on Sunday was 34.2 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi division, while the lowest temperature on Monday was recorded at 22 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.
