Customers visiting the NRBC Bank ATM booth in Bhairab Bazar experienced an unusual surprise as the bank introduced its “Happiness ATM” initiative to add a human touch to routine banking services.
Instead of a typical ATM experience, customers received four special gifts after withdrawing cash—water, tissues, chocolates and plant saplings, reads a press release.

Speaking about the initiative, Fazle Rabbi, cash in-charge of NRBC Bank’s Bhairab Branch, said, “We wanted customers to leave the ATM booth with a smile on their faces after withdrawing money. This effort to make a mechanical transaction a little more humane has given us immense joy.”
Branch Manager Rakibul Hasan explained the idea behind the initiative, saying, “Every day we witness hundreds of mechanical transactions, but today the genuine surprise and happiness we saw on our customers’ faces through this small initiative deeply touched our hearts. Their appreciation and affection will be our greatest inspiration for the days ahead.”
Customers also expressed their delight at the unexpected gesture.

Distinguished customer Ahsanul Haque Pintu said, “This courtesy shown by the bank at an ATM booth is truly commendable.”
Another customer, Mehedi Parvez, said, “Receiving chocolates and a plant sapling as gifts really made my day.”
Customer Shafiqul Islam Saju said, “The value of these gifts may not be measured in monetary terms, but this effort to spread happiness amid the routine of mechanical transactions is truly exceptional.”
The “Happiness ATM” initiative by NRBC Bank has transformed the familiar experience of withdrawing cash into a memorable one for customers in Bhairab, drawing positive attention for its customer-centric approach.
