India’s Border Security Force (BSF) has taken back nine women and children who were victims of a push‑in attempt at the Patari frontier in Naogaon, BGB suspects.

The group remained about 100 yards inside Indian territory from the zero line on Wednesday. Their current whereabouts are unknown, and BGB assumes BSF returned them to India during the night.

Lt Col Mohammad Ariful Islam Masum, commander of Naogaon‑16 BGB, conveyed the information in a press note Thursday morning.

BGB has stepped up vigilance in Naogaon’s border areas, reinforcing patrols and surveillance at all border outposts (BOPs).

Earlier, around 4am Wednesday, BSF attempted to push nine people, including women and children, into Bangladesh through pillar 244 near Adatla BOP. With local support, BGB foiled the attempt.
