A 14‑year‑old boy allegedly raped a five‑year‑old child in Nazirpur upazila of Pirojpur, the victim’s family said.
According to the family, the incident occurred Thursday afternoon. It came to light Saturday evening when the child fell ill and told her mother what had happened.
The victim was first taken to Nazirpur Upazila Health Complex and later referred to Pirojpur District Hospital for advanced treatment.
AKM Asif Ahmed, a physician at Pirojpur District Hospital, confirmed the child’s admission, saying medical examination results will determine the full details of the assault.
Nazirpur Police Station Officer‑in‑charge Md Tariqul Islam said authorities have been verbally notified. Legal action will proceed once a written complaint is filed, he added.
